A Humble Beginning
Truly Fine Wine was founded in 2005 with the intention of bringing awareness to both contemporary and classic German wines. The goal was to break down the many misconceptions surrounding German wine, considered by wine professionals to be among the most important and often misunderstood wine producing regions in the world. Today, we represent some of the best grower-producers in Germany and are privileged to work with some of the top restaurant concepts in America.

A Masterful Collaboration
My Cellar Master is a fun way to enjoy wines via educational side-by-side Themed Tasting Experiences. This concept was developed in partnership with Eddie Osterland, America’s 1st Master Sommelier. Each Tasting Experience includes learning materials, pairing chart, recipes and a video guide. My Cellar Master is a preferred gifting program for many of our corporate clients and was featured in the Forbes Holiday Gift Guide.

Our Team
Damon Goldstein & Sabrina Bochen – Co-Founders

Truly Fine Wine was built out of a shared passion for extraordinary grower-producer German wines which can be extremely difficult to find in the US. Today, it has evolved into much more, something we are proud to share.
Originally from Northern New Jersey, Damon has a degree in Economics from UC San Diego and has owned and operated a number of restaurant concepts.
Sabrina was born and raised in the heart of the Rheingau, one of Germany’s most historic and important wine producing regions. Damon and Sabrina met by chance in 1998 and dated long distance for two and a half years before marrying. In that time, they spent a great deal of time drinking amazing wines along the banks of the Rhine.
Through their shared love for this historic wine region, they have had over a decade of amazing global food and wine experiences with people from all walks of life. Wine is now a focal point when spending time with friends and family. Searching for life changing food and wine pairings has also become their passion. They are fortunate to continue this pursuit and hope you enjoy the journey as much as they have!
Molly Brooks – Advanced Sommelier, National Account Manager

A native San Diegan, Molly earned an MA in History from San Diego State University, prior to a career in food and beverage as sommelier and wine director.
With a particular affinity for wine, beer, and a love of the service environment, Molly embarked upon her career as a sommelier and wine professional 2011, earning her introductory certification with the Court of Master Sommeliers.
Molly now holds the Advanced Sommelier title with the Court of Master Sommeliers, along with Certified Cicerone, Certified Wine Specialist and French Wine Scholar. Molly has worked in many facets of the industry and brings a great deal of depth and knowledge to our team.
Molly is currently studying for the Master Sommelier Diploma. The title of Master Sommelier is the highest sought after distinction in the wine industry, as chronicled by the movie SOMM. Currently, there are a little over 200 "Masters" in the world.
Fernando Gaxiola – Baja Wine & Food

Born and raised in Mexico, Fernando holds and engineering degree by the prestigious Tec de Monterrey and MBA from Thunderbird School of Management in Phoenix, Arizona. He worked as a consultant in the oil & gas industries globally in areas such as processes, marketing and strategic planning.
In 2011, he returned to his roots, moving to the San Diego / Tijuana metro area and reconnecting with his passions: food, wine & art. He founded Baja Wine & Food in 2013 as a preeminent food and wine experience for the best in Baja. He promotes boutique family owned artisan wineries from Valle de Guadalupe and offer event planning, travel and tourism to the region.
We have formed a partnership with Fernando to bring some of the best wines from grower-producers in the Valle de Guadalupe. We are excited to represent wines from this up-and-coming wine region to our customers in the US.
